Hikkaduwa Feeding Giant Turtles

Standing knee deep in the waters of the beach in Hikkaduwa, with seaweed in my hand I waited with excitement as I saw the giant turtles swimming toward the shallows.. A small group of people had gathered, all there waiting to see these majestic creatures and have the opportunity to feed the them This wasn’t an organized event, part of a tour group or captivated turtle farm; this was nature. A once in a life time experience that I will cherish.
